Once the cap turns on, your scalp is illuminated by red laser light. The photobiomodulation process is how our cells react to red light, and how we can use this reaction to help grow healthier hair.
• What happens when your scalp absorbs red light?
Within the mitochondria, red light stimulates an enzyme known as cytochrome c oxidase. This causes your mitochondria to produce more energy, or Adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This extra energy enables the body to begin repairing damaged tissues and send vital nutrients to your hair follicles, restarting the hair growth process.
