How Does LLLT Work?
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) works for hair growth by using low-intensity light energy to stimulate cellular activity in hair follicles. This process is also known as photobiomodulation.
The light waves penetrate the scalp and reach the base of the hair follicles, where they trigger metabolic changes that increase energy production, improve cellular function, and promote hair growth.
LLLT stimulates the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the fuel source for cells, which leads to increased cellular activity and division. Additionally, LLLT improves blood flow and oxygenation to the scalp, which supports the growth and health of hair follicles. By using LLLT, hair follicles can become stronger and healthier, resulting in thicker and fuller hair.
